Abstract

Goal. Creation of trait collection of marigold genetic diversity as the base for breeding of varieties.Results and discussion. Results of creation of trait collection of the genus Calendula L. - marigold in the Experimental Station of Medicinal Plants are presented. A study of 110 Calendula gene pool accessions on 20 economical and biological traits. There were selected 19 reference accessions and trait collection which includes 38 accessions of 4 species from 12 world countries and covers a total of 55 levels of traits manifestation. was created and registered. Five Calendula accessions valuable for economical traits were selected and registered in the National Centre for Plant Genetic Resources of Ukraine: IPM 7 (UG1000013, India), UPM 12 (UG1000018, Ukraine),ФОРМУВАННЯ, ВИВЧЕННЯ ТА ВИКОРИСТАННЯ КОЛЕКЦІЙISSN 2309-7345 Генетичні ресурси рослин, 2013, № 1252MPM 19 (UG1000025, Mongolia), UPM 83 (UG1000042, Ukraine ), UCT 34 (UG1000043, Ukraine).Conclusions. Trait collection of the genus Calendula L. covering diversity of this crop on 20 traits; 55 levels of their manifestations is created and registered as the source of initial material in cultivars breeding, for DUS test etc.
