Abstract
Genetic diversity of spring barley is widened as a result of creation of new lines with recombination of traits both wide- (nutans, medicum) and rarely spread (submedicum, pallidum, rikotense) and insufficient-spread (inerme, subinerme, duplialbum, nudum, deficiens, horsfordianum, angustispicatum) in breeding of various varietis, as well as, of the lines with combination of already known and new mutant traits. Fifty-four lines belonging to different varieties with high level of separate breeding traits have been created and transferred to the National Centre for Plant Genetic Resources of Ukraine. Sixteen lines with high plant productivity have been selected: awnless, awnless hulless, awnless with eight nodes, deficiens, nutans, multi-rowed, short-awned multi-rowed.
