Abstract

The goal of this investigation was the studying collection accessions of the narrow-leaved lupine gene pool by the productivity traits, early-ripeness, nitrogen fixation activity, resistance to major diseases, and to identify sources of commercially valuable characters. The results of three-year studies on the study of 42 accessions of the lupine gene pool of diverse ecological and geographical origins on the main commercially valuable characters are presented. The evaluation was performed on a normal and infectious background. Sources with traits of early ripeness, fusariose resistance and high seed productivity, which are contained in the basic and traits collections of the lupine gene pool of the Institute of Agricultural Microbiology and Agro-Industrial Manufacture of NAAS were selected. A low level of nitrogen fixation activity in the overwhelming majority of investigated samples is noted. It has been established that there is a weak correlation between seed productivity and activity of symbiotic nitrogen fixation of the investigated samples (r = 0,207). Therefore, when creating new highly productive varieties with high nitrogen-fixing ability, it is necessary to use parental forms, one of which is characterized by high© Bardakov V. Dedicated collection accessions are sources of valuable traits, it is recommended to use in breeding programs for the creation of new feed varieties of narrow-leaved lupine with high adaptive properties.
