COLLECTION FORMATION AND USE

Abstract

Goal. Form traits collection of spring triticale on the of distinctness characteristics. To achieve this goal the following tasks: pick up from the base and working collections of diverse material on morphological characters; evaluate field levels showing signs of distinctness and stability, to distinguish among each group of samples with stable expression of a certain level of feature, the best on adaptability, yield and other traits.

Results and discussion. The trait collection of spring triticale on the differences characteristics was established and registered in the National Centre for Plant Genetic Resources of Ukraine. This collection includes 104 samples, which cover the 36 distinction characteristics. 28 signs were found patterns that exhibit to all levels of trail. The collection includes samples from nine countries. Collection included 28 varieties and 76 lines. The traits collection included common varieties entered in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine. Oberih kharkіvs’kyi - the example of 24 distinctness characteristics, Legіn’ kharkіvs’kyi - the example of 17 distinctness characteristics, Khlіbodar kharkіvs’kyi - the example of 11 distinctness characteristics, Aіst kharkіvs’kyi - the example of eight distinctness characteristics, Sontsedar kharkivs`kyi -  the example of five distinctness characteristics. Among the samples included in the collection, 42 were at or exceeded the national standard for productivity. Most adapted sample is 6755-11, which formed the yield of 3.77 t/ha (depending on the conditions, from 3.40 to 3.94 t/ha), which is higher than the standard 1.44 t/ha.

Conclusions. A long term study of spring triticale was formed the trait collection of distinctness characteristics, which includes 104 sample - examples of 36 distinction characteristics. Most of the samples origin of Ukraine, so they are more adaptable to local environmental conditions and are able to consistently generate higher yields. The collection is valuable for breeding, genetic research and the testing varieties for distinctness, uniformity and stability.
