Abstract
Goal. Widening genetic diversity of spring barleyResults and discussion. New forms including those related to unknown varieties were created by experimental mutagenesis. Among them there were three-awned, shortawned with hairlike awnlets, multi-node (8–10 nodes), short-leaved with a tongue-line leaf blade. By hybridization of mutant forms with varieties and collection accessions a number of new forms of spring barley was also created, namely – multi-rowed short awned; 5-herneled; furcate with similar sized furcation both on floral and awn glumes. The names are proposed for new varieties.Conclusions. The utilization of new forms of spring barley has great importance for genetical-breeding researches as collection material or as original one as sources of resistance to bio- and abiotic factors.
