Abstract

Goal. Selecting genepool accessions characterized in the conditions of the western Steppe ofUkraine by field resistance against fungal diseases – anthracnose, septoria, columnar rust andpowdery mildew.Results and discussion. As a result of research carried out in 2011-2013 in the Institute ofAgriculture of the Carpathian region of NAAS, 67 accessions with stable expression of anindividual or group resistance against diseases were selected from 290 accessions of the blackcurrant gene pool collection. The accessions with individual resistance to anthracnose, Septoria,powdery mildew and columnar rust originate mainly from Ukraine and Russia. There wereselected the accessions with group resistance against powdery mildew, anthracnose and columnarrust: Ukrains’kyi, Alta, Legenda (Ukraine); Avgustinka, Dobraya (Russia) and others; againstpowdery mildew and Septoria: Kentavr, Pam'yatna, 65-64-2, 185-19-42, 04/08/86 (Ukraine);Selechenskaya (Russia); against anthracnose and septoria: Buraia Favorskoy and Velikolepnaya(Russia); against anthracnose, septoria, columnar rust and powdery mildew: Roxolana (Ukraine)and Ben Tirran (UK).Conclusions. There are selected 67 black currant accessions which are recommended for use inbreeding programs as a source of individual and group resistance to diseases.
