Abstract
The results of the 3-year study (2009-2011 ys) on the finding of the sources for desease resistance in winter wheat in the north-easternpart of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine are presented. 495 collection samples were estimated for the resistance to pathogens of leaf deseases and covered smut. Under infectious and provocative sites some sources with stable expression of the resistance to deseases in different meteorological conditions were found. Among these the most valuable ones for breeding are the samples with a group resistance to deseases and high indices of a number of the other economic traits. Identified as samples with high yield and density of productive stalks (Samuraj from Germany, Silhouette of Greece, Garagum from Turkmenistan), weight of 1000 grains (Yavoryna, Nausel, Dausha from Ukraine, Uzlet from Belarus, MV Kolo, MV Kemence from Hungary, Tiha of Serbia, Altay in 2000 from Turkey, Westen from the USA, Skagen and Samuraj from Germany). Samples: Yavoryna, Nausel and Dausha (Ukraine), MV Kemence i MV Kolo (Hungary,), Garagum (Turkmenistan), Silhouette (Greece), Samuraj (Germany) combine the highest number of economic traits. Dedicated sources are recommended for implementation in breeding programs as a initial material for the creation of modern high-yielding varieties of soft wheat with increased resistance to disease and abiotic factors.
